• Make sure the barcode is an EAN or UPC number with 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits.
• If camera scanning is unavailable, enter the number manually.
• Product lookups require an internet connection and a matching Open Food Facts record.

Why is the result unknown?

Open Food Facts is community-maintained. If its record has no usable NOVA group, Ultra-Processed? shows “Unknown” instead of guessing. An unknown result does not mean the food is not ultra-processed.
